What Happens When Mom And Dad Aren't Home

Remember when you were in high school and you had that party when your parents were away for the weekend? (Or in my case, the party that my sister had because I was too scared to be caught doing anything so risque.)

Remember how worried you were that they would find out because even though you did such a good job taking all the actual bottles to the recycling center to get rid of the evidence, they found a bottle cap in the plants?

Somehow, parents just have a way of knowing things you are doing. I remember my parents questioning me in middle school about the person I was with who was smoking at the Belmont Public Library. Turns out, I was on the payphone outside the library and there was someone near me smoking. A family friend drove by the library, saw me, saw the delinquent, assumed it was someone I was there with, and phoned my mom to rat me out. GAWD!

Well, my advice to my kids is this: Don't have friends over and then use my camera to take photos of yourselves. I don't even know who half these kids are! And, what are they wearing? Beer Goggles?

9 Years Ago, Right About This Time

If you get through the first 30 photos or so, you'll see that Steve did actually show up for the big event.

Happy Anniversary, Snookums.
