Homecoming

They've been away from home for 2 weeks. Away from me and Steve for 8 days.

I'm happy to report that I miss them A LOT. 

Niamh and Finn come home tonight after 6 days in So Cal and 8 days in Nor Cal. I think they are going to be happy to come home to the Pac NW and their own pee stained beds.

I can't wait to pick them up tonight.

Right now I've gotta run. I only have 4 more hours to shop without them.

I Love Partys

After our block party last week I found the above declaration written in chalk on the steps.

Anyway, I love parties, too. And, I love the friends that come to them.

A Cabin in the Woods

65 minutes door to door

boots and rain wear stocked for everyone

bunk beds, air hockey, and cable television

kids balancing on logs

kids wading in a lake

kids playing catch

kids begging for popsicles

a perfectly content infant

a perfectly mischievous toddler

a visit from Zaide

a famous Zaide treasure hunt

beer for brunch, beer for lunch, beer for happy hour, beer for dinner, beer for night caps

sister wives 

We left a trail of empties between there and here, we will find our way back.

Who Wore It Best?

We were even wearing the same earrings.

Its no wonder I love her sense of style.
